Premee Mohamed recommends
Someone You Can Build a Nest In (2024)
John Wiswell
"Oozing with - among other things - Wiswell's inimitable charm and tenderness, this is a monstrous love story like nothing I've ever read before."
Last to Leave the Room (2023)
Caitlin Starling
"A bow-taut psychological thriller, a virtuoso science fiction tale, and above all an unsqueamish exploration of identity, ambition, cruelty and memory. It's a terrifying combination of tension and imagination that could only have come from the mind of Caitlin Starling -- no one else working in speculative fiction could have executed this with such style and confidence."
Black River Orchard (2023)
Chuck Wendig
"A fresh and unexpected horror feat, expertly drawing from the ancient, endless wells of our greatest fears."
