Andrew Williams spent twenty years directing and writing current affairs and history documentary programmes for BBC Television and international co-producers. He has written two best selling accounts of Second World War campaigns, 'The Battle of the Atlantic', and 'D-Day to Berlin'. His first novel, The Interrogator, was shortlisted for the Ellis Peters Historical Fiction Award and the Ian Fleming Thriller Award. His second novel, To Kill A Tsar, was shortlisted for the Ellis Peters, the E-dunnit Award and the Scott Prize for Historical Fiction. He is currently working on a spy series set in the first years of the 20th century. The Daily Mail in its list of best books in 2010 said he 'belonged in the front rank of new English thriller writers'.
